Both. I use the red eye shad for depths of 5 to 12 feet with light vegetation. It excels with a yo-yo action. The rattletrap is a great bait to throw in grass from 1 to 5 feet. It excels when you rip and pause it through the grass.Good luck.

I DONT THINK SO. I THINK THE RATTLE TRAP IS AN ALL AROUND GOOD LURE YOU CAN FISH IT AT ANY DEPTH YOU CHOSE IF YOU ARE USING THE SINKING VERSION

You cannot beat'em. However, XCalibur Xr lipeless cranks are right there with them. Stick with what works for you from successful catch you've made. I would try and compare. I tend to end up going back to the old faithful and reliable bait that have successfully caught fish for me almost each and every time out without fail. Hope you stick with you know best, lurecollector. :)
