Customer Reviews   Description   Outdoor Answers
Glide through weeds and rocks snag-free with our oval, egg-shaped lead sinkers. This type of slip-weight is ideal for catfish and a standard for Carolina rigging. Our egg sinkers allow anglers to get down deep where the big ones hang out. Plus, slip-style weights allow fish to feel the bait—not the weight.

A:
Depending on the speed at which the river is flowing (fast, slow, medium), I would recommend anywhere from 2 to 8 ounce. If it is a slow river, go for a 2 or 3 ounce. Fast, 8 ounce. Remember, leave a decent length leader, allowing the catfish to take the bait without feeling the weight.

you don't need a big weight for the missouri river because i used 6 oz flat and egg sinkers and my problem was the mud so any weight under 4oz.should do fine
