The model number for this vest is MD3087 BC-18.

I just bought one. It's a MD 3087 BC. BC stands for "BASS Competition". Not sure what all the BC part adds besides the big MUSTANG patch down the left side. Looks like it has more neoprene at the collar, comparing them on the Mustang website.

I don't see why it wouldn't be. When it inflates, it's like a regular life jacket except it has more flotation. The automatic feature inflates it if you go in the water.
