I ahve used the worm theader alot. It makes it very easy to put live worms on the hood. if you have not used it before, you start by puting the point of the threader into the wormand pushing the theader down the cernter of the worms insides. before you get to the end of the worm push the point thru the worm leaving about 1/8th to 1/4 of an inch of worm dangling. on the point of the worm threader there is a small hole. put the tip of your hook into it and hold the line that the hook is tied to tight then easily slide the wormoff of the threader onto the hook. remember leave a small portion of the worm hand. there you have it. hope it works as well as it did for me. good luck and good fishing

Actually I've never used it for rubber worms, only live night crawlers. You pierce the worm near the collar, thread the worm onto the threader and exit the worm near the end leaving some part of the tail free to wiggle. It has a hollow tip and you stick the point of your hook into the hollow tip and shove the worm onto and around the hook and up your line. I find that a barbed hook works well. I use a #6 for trout.
