Depends on the line weight. The heavier you go the more this line tends hold memory of the spool. I prefer to use the Cajun Braid for my mainline and only use Mono for leakers

yes this line is a great line on a baitcaster no so mutch for a spinning reel becouse it makes loopes every once in a while but good line but dont fill the spool all the way up leave about an 1/8 of an inch space frome the top of your spool to your line if u want to be sure but i have no problem fillin mi spool full but not over the spool but over all it is a good line on a boitcaster if its low profile tho dont go over 30lbs

We have used the various Cajun lines on baitcasters, spinning reels, and spin casting reels...and am pleased with it on all of these types of reels.... It may not preform quite as well as the "super premium, super expensive" line, but it isn't far off, and for the money, you'd be hard pressed to find a line that beats it... We fish pretty much year round for everything from trout with ultra lites and 6 pound test, to heavy catfish rigs with 50 pound test. And we go thru ALOT of line. Even more now that we are retired.... The Cajun lines won't break the bank like the more expensive lines, and they preform almost as well.... If you only have a few reels and don't fish or change your line all that much, then go for the "super premium high-dollar stuff"...but if you have several dozen reels that you need to keep up and running, and don't have "deep pockets", then the various Cajun lines are the way to go.

I use it on an Extreme baitcaster and the problem I had was it twisted coming off the reel. I finally adjusted my reel to help the backlashes.

I use it on all my baitcating reels from bass to saltwater size and it's the best line I've found. This is the only line I use for catfishing. It cast great and you can't beat the strength.
