There are several places I can't take him due to the 1-2 step height barrier. Do you think this product could be placed to push him up the ramps over the 1-2 steps? I think the weight allowance would permit someone to walk on the ramp, push him and his weight with the chair.

A:
Yes it can do the job.
But not by you.
The person helping must pull the wheel chair backwards up the ramps.

If you can pull him backwards up a normal set of stairs then you can use this ramp. It is easier to use the ramp than pull up stairs. If still have to be stroung enough to pull it up hill over steps.

They would handle the weight, but that would not automatically make them a safe choice in every situation. There are too many variables (angle of the incline, size of the wheelchair's tires, weather conditions, and more) to say this would be a safe bet. I would ask a professional at a medical supply store to see if their is a safer and/or more convenient alternative.
