Customer Reviews   Description   Outdoor Answers
The Battenkill Bar Stock Fly Reel is 20% lighter than the original. Why did Orvis redesign one of their best-selling reels of all time? Simple. They knew they could build it even better. The Battenkill Bar Stock owes its success to a machined bar stock 6262-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum casing that provides years of precision and performance. The entire reel was built around an infinitely adjustable Rulon offset disc drag mechanism recognized for its dependability. Each reel also features stainless steel gearing that is durable and virtually maintenance free allowing for easy switching from right to left hand operation. [Read More]

Regular. The Mid is bigger, and the large is the largest. From what I recall, the mid has 1.5 x the retreival speed and the large arbor has 2x that of the barstock.
