    Is the shoe waterproof?

    Details:
It probably is, but I don't see "waterproof" called out explicitly anywhere. Has anyone used these on muddy/swampy shorelines or for light wading?

I know that the traction probably isn't as good as felt or studded shoes, but I'm mostly concerned with waterproof-ness.

    Thanks!

    A:
We live on the water and with marsh muck and these shoes are not waterproof. There is a mesh in the body of the shoe that certainly allows water in. We have no complaints about the traction.

These shoes are fine to get wet but they are not made to keep your feet dry

    A:
Water-resistant leather and mesh but not 100% waterproof. This type of shoe is good for when you are fishing on a boat. Not so much for muddy or swampy shorlines or wading.

No, we do not have extra laces online. You might check with Rugged Shark by calling 201-342-1200.

The shoe laces are replaceable. I think you may be looking at the leather lace that goes around the outside of the shoe.
