The BB Splitshot is about 1/8 inch in diameter. They are good for fishing mealworms or crickets. They are just heavy enough to pull the cricket under the surface of the water. The next size is #7. It is a little heavier and around 1/4 inch in diameter. I use this size mostly for crappie fishing. The #3 size is about 3/8 inch in diameter. I mainly use this size for bottom fishing for catfish.
