Yes it will! I actually use a 6'6" MH bass pro shop bionic blade rod and its does well with it! However i will probably get a longer rod eventually!

Hey TX, A 7' MH and a 7'6" MH rod is all I use when throwing these baits! It is a must to throw it with flourocarbon line, ranging from 10-15 lbs, to get the most feel and action from these baits. The only reason I use 7'6" MH rod is for the added distance in my casting. Hope this helps and enjoy!

You definitely want something with a little backbone when fishing these. A fast action tip is not overly helpful.
