Yes, this is a great way to catch large smallie's during summer months. I place three hooks spaced approximately twelve to fifteen inches apart beginning two feet above the weight (1/2 oz) tied to the end of my line. I use a watermelon/black flake on the hook nearest the weight, a chartreuse/pearl on the second hook and a pearl white on the top hook. If the bass is in the area, hold on!
