How many yards per spool?

Details:
$3.49 per spool is pretty expensive: for $3.49, I would expect a 400-500 yard spool.

A:
The Uni-thread product provided by BassPro comes in a 200 yard spool. Remember that this is very small diameter stuff, whether in an 8/0 or 6/0 size. So, it's used for small flies in relatively small quantities. I tie for myself, and find that even a spool of a favorite color lasts more than a year.
