They can work for trout at times. If you toss them into pools with not to much water flow and crank them slowly agianst the rocks you can trigger strikes for agressive trout.
There are so many ways to catch fish on this bait. You can twitch on the surface, you can rip it like a jerkbait, you can deadstick it for inactive fish, but the best way to fish this bait is with a slow retreive with small pauses in between.
All depends on the coditions. Muddy/murky water you want to fish it slow. If its clear and the fish are active I would fish it fast to cover a lot of water. If the water is cold fis it slow
Hi bassbait, here in Nicaragua lake, min trolling speed, better with elctrical engine, if you are casting on stream, stream speed, and on a lake very slow
If you are fishing for either crappie or bass move this fast along a structure like weeds or a rock pile and you will fall in love with this fishing lure.

slow to medium retrieve, with hesitation. Works best going across the current.
welladjusted to where youre at and how the fish are hitting i normally fish it by casting letting it sit for a few seconds and thenjerking it in with stopsafter every few jerks.
I use the smallest deep diving crankbait, and it will go 2-3 feet, maybe more on light line. I usually fish the Sandusky River in Ohio, and the places where I fish aren't much deeper than 3-4 feet. I can feel the wee crawfish bouncing off the bottom most of the time.
I recommend using the shallow-running over the deep-diving versions. I'm not sure how deep it goes but Id say like 3 to 4 feet deep for the shallow running and for the deep-diving one maybe 6 to 8 feet maybe more for that one.
You simply tye it on and reel it very slowly. You can also jerk it from side to side if fish are agressivly eating crayfish. You can even twitch on the surface like a towater!
I don't use anything but the lure on my line. as for the knot doesn't matter what kind of knot just as long as it stays on and won't break off when catching. I do a slow stop and retrieve and if nothing catches try a faster retrieve.
i tie mine directly to the line and for panfish and bass usally a med retrieve speed. the olive green with the orange belly seems to work best. For trout use the same color but at a med to slow retrieve.
in my oppinion i would use the smallest size their is so you could catch a variety of fish like panfish and your bass.

I caught so far with this lure baby bass to a 13 inch bass and a few cat fish and panfish. This is really a go-to lure when nothing else is working. I used # 34 bright neon green with an orange belly a shallow runner, not the deep-diver one.
theses work great for small and large mouth bass with small bass i have caught them from 12 to 21 inches on the rebel crawfish they work excellent. The smaller largemouth 12- 15 seem to hit on theses better than the really big ones.
I prefer the 2" model. I have only fished this lure in rivers. I try to pick colors that match the crawfish that live in the river. Simply look under a few rocks and you'll see them. Try to match that color. I've used the 2" to catch smallmouth from about six inches in length to appx. 2 pounds. I throw them near the shoreline and structure, as well as near small lines of falls with pools on the other side.
For the most part I've only caught suspended walleyes when trolling on the super-deep model. The regular deep model I have caught EVERYTHING and is the one I mostly use.
The orange deep diver works very well on suspended river walleyes and that is what I usually use on them.
they have the teeny craws and the medium sizes. i personnaly love the medium for bass and crappie but alot of smaller fish will try to snag them from the bigger ones
This is my go-to lure for all water areas for catching bass. And every now and again a few cat fish and panfish. I use the shallow runner #34 bright green back with a bright orange belly.
I highly recommed these rebel crawfish lures especially if you have weed beds in your lakes. I find the olive green with the orange belly works the best i also have caught many fish on the chartruse green color. They work excellent on smallmouth, largemouth bass trout and panfish retrieved at a med speed.
I would limit this lure to use where crayfish are a natural food source. If the lake has a shallow rocky shoreline then yes, use it here. If you're fishing for largemouths in weeds then you are better off using a crankbait that mimics minnows.
PS/ I have had luck picking up smallmouth bass on shallow sandy beaches of lakes as well. They know what a crayfish looks like!!
