Bomber's Model A crankbaits are a little slimmer, a little trimmer, wiggle a little harder and faster, and dive a little deeper than other ordinary crankbaits. The Model A's timeless design and unbeatable fish-catching action ensures these proven go-to-cranks produce results every time they swim. Plus, the Model A floats up quickly on the pause -- a major tempter of big fish.

In my opinion the color options that are offered by Bomber is much better. I do own wiggle warts and they just don't seem to produce fish as much as bombers do...So yes the Model A is a better crankbait in my opinion.
The action on the rod does not matter that much but I use a medium action. A dark color would be good for the lure but also look at the bait fishes color to determine color.
A medium action rod is best for my style of fishing a Bomber, hitting a underwater structure and popping the lure into action in a darting type retrieve is best for setting the hooks on the strike
I use a 7'mm pro glass crankbait rod..if you mean dark stained water and not muddy I like the fire tiger or black pearl. In northern tanic stain I always get some black on my baits if shad are present. Firetiger is good if yellow perch are present
Medimum action rod works well. As a rule, I catch more fish on dark colored lure in darker or stained water. A crawfish pattern in dark green is my favorite
My best color and always has been for Largemouth is a #7 model A in baby bass and brown craw for smallies. If you miss a strike throw a black skirted single crome blade spinnerbait w/o a trailer grub back in for a amazing result, hope this helps your next trip on the water be a great one!
Not in Oklahoma lakes - might work where you are located. I'm not saying it will not catch a fish, but other patterns are more productive. Use patterns to fit your bass forage, usually shad or craws
