You just slide the line through the hole in the sinker with the pointy end up before tying your line to your gap hook. I suggest 2/0 with a rubber worm. Now you are fishing a texas style rig. Yes they are reusable.

Slide them onto your leader before tying on your hook. Domed end pointed away from your hook. You can use a bead to protect your knot if you so desire.

I'm pretty sure these are just typical "bullet" sinkers invarious sizes, so they all just have a hole that you thread your line through -- nothing to pinch like a split shot sinker. If you find instructions on texas or carolina rigging online, you'll see how they get on and off--no biggie.
