I am sold on BTSP at least in 270 140 grain and in the 300 Win-Mag 165. Best performance ever from both. For two years running now I have not been able to find the .300 165.....

I shoot 165 BTNP balistic tip in 300-Weatherby. Very good round out to 400 yds easy.The 300 Win.Mag has been around for years and has a past reputation to uphold. Their are so many new guns and cartridges on the market today it is hard to keep up. With that said, it only makes sense to shoot a 180 gr. projectile to match energy to other calibers on the market. That's why you can't find your 165 BTSP's. Sales were low.I would suggest Hornady's Heavy Mag SST-Interlok or Interbond in the180gr. Or Rem. Premier Accutip in 180 gr. also. Both are available and produce some impressive ballistics.
