10 gage. I use the switches to turn on a Ford starter soilenoid. Keeps from smoking the wires on the switches when using 24 volts on motor.

No, you have to steer by hand; but it frees you up pretty good if you don't have room for a fully operational foot controlled trolling motor.

A:
The voltage doesn't matter. It is simply an on and off switch for easier use of a hand controlled motor.

A:
All you do is splice the foot switch in between the battery and the motor on the negative side. Anywhere on the negative wire between the battery and the motor cut the wire and then attach the two ends of the foot switch wires to both ends created from cutting the wire.

A:
There is a wiring diagram included with the foot switch. My trolling motor is 12-volts and I connected the 2 wires from the foot switch to break the ground portion of the circuit.
