A:
Depending on the mood of the fish, a steady retrieve, "dead sticking" (not moving the bait), and small jigging motions may get fish to bite. Try using all three motions or a variation in these to judge what may be making the fish bite best on that day.

I am new to fishing for rainbow and brown trout in rivers. Would these be good for those species? If these are good what color do you recomend and can these work in fast moving water?

They work great for rainbows and browns. My three favorite colors are natural, yellow, and red. ihave had days that white and pink have been the better.
I use a split shot and plain hook in fast water. Also as a tip, if you use a worm threader on them and a long shank hook you'll miss very few hits.

A:
I place a small lightweight split shot about 8" up from the worm and then a bobber about 4' from the bait. This has worked very well for me. A simple jigging action every once in a while has had positive results as well.

A:
float three power eggs over the hook and add the power worm running your hook through the worm twice.
works great for me
add a fish juice of some sort to remove your scent from the worm and eggs.

A:
I'm not sure what will work in your area, but in Texas, I just "Blob" them on, like I'm fishing for panfish or Catfish. No need to rig them Carolina or Texas style, just poke them on the hook in 3 places, leaving the ends of the worm free and loose. The fish simply inhale them. I have gone to using small snelled hooks, rigged with a swivel, with a split-shot above the entire rig. The fish gulp them down so fast, you often have to place the fish in the cooler or stringer with the hook still in the fish. So just unsnap the swivel, put on a new snelled hook (Eagle claw small size #8 or 10) and re-bait. The hooks and bait (still intact) are retrieved when I clean the fish. I've used the same worm to catch over a dozen fish.

A:
most often "WACKY WORM style 1/3 in thick zone as you would a natural in the "band" . this hangs and drifts natural from long rod or bobber .
if cast&retreive angle hook , use longer hook shaft near thru nose and back out band area with a little "woopee" between hook points to allow a "swim action" on slow retreive.
enjoy!! we use pearl/white grubs when this worm wont work . also green pumpkin grub . BUT the worm is nice...

I use the 3 inch worms when drift fishing for trout (I've had luck with orange and bubblegum colors). I thread them up the shank of a #2 or #4 hook with the last inch or so dangling off. Then I tip it with a white power egg.
