It depends if you fish the breakers or past the breakers? If you fish the breakers then use clear or green. If you fish past the breakers then I would use green.

12lb line would be the best all-around line, but i would have 8-10 for bluegill and crappie. 12-15 for bass, reds & flownder and maybe 20lb if the reds are larger in size and in back waters.

Depends if you go to fish for 4 lb bass, 14 lb cats or 4 ounce crappies - I go always on the heavy side of line weight recommended on the rod I use; for example, if rod is rated for 8 - 17 lb line I go with 12 or 14 lb.

I use 17lb Suffix on MH 7'0 rod with 20 lb leader, 12 lb on 7"0 or 6'6 rod for for Specks, also with 20 lb leader. I used this brand for leader material for about 6 month now and like it. Might put it on my Red Fish rod for bottom fishing. No frills, good line.

Depends. What's the line weight & capacity of your reel ? What rod are you using ?
Reason I ask, Set up your rod and reel as a unit. 8LB line on 8LB reel, on 8-12LB rod. Look at your setup, they should match in capability. Then pick a good quality line, spool up and go.
As to your question, as a general rule, Reds in salt water ( inland waters ), I used to use 20 pound test on a heavy rod off the boat. Trout in inland fresh water lakes, 6-8 pound test is fine off a spinning reel, with 14 pound test off a baitcaster.
Just make sure your tools are a matched set, the rest will fall in place thru carefull planning. Gene

IT SHOULD WORK GREAT, DEPENDING ON HOW THICK YOU DECIDE TO PUT ON YOUR SPINNING REEL, USUALLY THE LIGHTER U GO THE FURTHER U CAN CAST AND HAVE MORE LINE IN YOUR SPOOL. I USUALLY PUT THIS LINE ON MY BAITCAST REEL.

I know I am late answering this, But the answer depends on the line weight and capacity of the reel you have.
As a general rule, it does just fine in the 10 pound weight. Anything heavier I've had trouble with.

I have used it on a spinning reel and performed well. It does have a high amount of memory so until you get a good hook up it will be kinked but once it is stretched you shouldn't have any problems

This line does great on spinning reels after it has had some use. It has a bit of memory at first, but be patient because it loses almost all of it's memory after some use.

If you pay attention to the direction it is coming off the spool and adjust your rod to match it you will have not line twists on spinning or baitcasting reels. Just make sure you pay attention to how it is coming off the spool.
