A:
I currently use "SONIC" braid and it handles much better than Mono. I get much greater casting distance with braid and no line twist at all. With mono I usually experienced some line twist.

6750 Rod match

Details:
I bought this reel with hopes of medium catfish and striper fishing but I am having trouble finding a rod to match it. My ugly stik will not hold reel because of the size of the mounting flange on reel. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

A:
i have had this problem toth many reels ... i always fish ugly sticks.... if the reel mounting frame is too small ... simple solution is to put tape around the mounting frame b4 putting it in ur rod.... if its still to small ... fold a peice of paper in the inside of ur rod and put ur reel in so its snug. if u want it permenant ... a couple drops of epoxy in the rod let it dry and then put your reel in ( paper is recomended not epoxy ) u never know when u will need a new reel ... and the ugly stick usually lasts longer then the reels on the market

I have a 50 size Pflueger reel that I paired with an Ugly Stik Lite Inshore Spinning Rod. It gets the job done in both saltwater and freshwater. Hope this helps.

make sure the line is tied tight on the reel. I had same problem but I notice that the string was moving around the reel instead of the spool spining.

I allpy a littlle trial and error. These reels are not difficult to understand. I would contact "PFLUGER" and get a schematic to aid you with maintence.

they are the same, xt was originally made for saltwater, all saltwater means is that it hold up to corosive salt, so if that just means its extra tough i use it for both salt and fresh its my main go to for bass, walleye, pike, bowfin, and pan fish. I also use it in salt water for reds, specks, flounder, mullet, basically any inshore species.

Completely depends on the rod and fish you are fishing for. I put 14 pound fire cyrstal which is the best line out there in my opinion.

You can use monofilament, fluorocarbon, hybrid line, or even a braid if you so desire. Stay within the suggested line sizes for whichever model you purchase.
