no you just drop it to the botom and moveit slowly ,anyway is you dont untherstad what i mean tipe on youtube shimano inchiku ,shimano lucanus or salty rubers they use the same principle

not weedless! those little hooks seem to jump out and grab any thing around them, mostly your fingers when you try to handle them! but they do a great job of hooking fish too
