I was able to put 1 lb of jerkey strips on each tray (5 lbs total). I used the jerkey cannon by LEM and put the strips pretty close together.

When making jerky from pork, chicken, or turkey, use precooked and processed meat. Otherwise, others meats are raw then added to a in a salt mixture, then drying it without cooking. Thanks

Yes it can, it comes with thin plastic sheets that i think might be for that but im not sure. The very colorful diretions that come with it show dehydrating veggies, fruits, seafood, and of course meats and shows you how to do it all. Great investment!!
