I use a 6/0 Owner Weighted Twistlock Light (3/32 oz). Its great to swim it, and if you pause on the retrieve, the worm pretty much falls horizontally with the tail wiggling above. Can also rig it with a regular 6/0 hook texas style if you prefer a nose-first fall.

Use a 4/0 EWG worm hook. Gamakatsu is the best brand and you can get a pack of them for $3-4. 4/0 is a little on the bigger side but they will give you better hook ups as long as you have developed a good technique for worm fishing. If you go to the 7" worm then use a 3/0. Good luck.Details:

I have used this lure unweighted, drop shot, and texas rigged and they all work great. I think the drop shot or unweighted rig is better for open water and texas rig is better for cover. Hope this helps.

You can fish it both ways. In the shallow I have luck using it with no weight.I have also used Texas rig.

It can be used top water if the grass-mat is thick enough. T-rig it with a light weight.

the answer is yes! You can fish it mostly top water, with a keep weighted hook, and you can fish it as a wake bait. It does not move a ton of water, but it does move some.

The Anaconda does not float. It is meant to be fished Texas rigged like other ribbon tailed worms.
