The Okuma Clarion Line Counter Baitcast Reels are feature-rich, technologically advanced reels designed to meet the demands of serious trollers everywhere! Built with a lightweight, corrosion-resistant frame with reinforced sideplates, the Clarion Reels boast Okuma’s Mechanical Stabilizing System (MSS) which ties the spool shaft, pinion gear, pinion gear bearing, drive shaft and main gear together with a single support system. This patented MSS system eliminates flex to allow these critical components to stay in precise alignment, while holding-up to the stress braided and wire lines create. Another tremendous feature the Clarion Reels offer is Okuma’s revolutionary Tension Spool Control (TSC) technology. TSC is a small secondary drag system designed to put tension on the spool while letting line out, allowing for hands-free drops and eliminating the need to thumb the spool while trolling. The Clarion’s multi-disc Carbonite drag system provides 18 to 20 pounds of maximum drag pressure while ratcheting star drag allows anglers to quickly adjust and match the drag setting to the situation.
