Trigger strikes and catch the big bass you're casting for with Lake Fork Tackle's 4'' Fork Frog. The Fork Frog's legs are positioned at a 90 degree angle to the body which creates more resistance. The resistance slows the Fork Frog down enough to where you can effectively fish it slow, so big fish won't have to scramble for a meal. Featuring all the physical features of a real frog, with the paddle feet creating more fish-attracting surface commotion helping fish zero in on the frog.

A:
of course, you can never spend too much money on fishing gear. However, in the event that you are strapped for cash, I have had success with the scum frog or the tournament scum frog, which are both pre-rigged frogs that float. The frogs you are talking about are made of a softer plastic material that doesn't float, I can tell you that the Stanley Jigs Ribbit frog is probably the best one in that department, but if you are deciding between those two the Lake Fork Tackle is definitely your best bet.

they will both work about the same, it's your preference in what you like and how the fish react and how you fish it. get a bag of both, they are fairly cheap and fish em, that's the only way to find out which one you like best. i've tried 4 or 5 different frogs, but down to just two I prefer
