A: 
I made several hikes up to 3/4 mile with no discomfort. Should do well. I don't know about loose gravel, was walking packed dirt and grass.

Details: 
I normally wear a 10.5 shoe and breathable waders (not the thicker neopreme) with socks inside. For sizing should I order a size 12?

Usually your normal shoe size for warm waters[no waders] and one size up for neopreme bootied waders.
