Yes, the down side is they will begin to tear after catching a number of fish. I understand supper glue can be used to repair them, but I've never tried it.

A: 
It works well around docks if you remove the treble hook and rig it with a 2/0 hook through the body so that it swims backwards. Most shrimp are rigged so that it swims forward. If you rig it backwards, it will swim just like a real shrimp attempting to get away! In Florida we have some great fresh water grass shrinp. Mr. bass likes this lure too!!
