I wouldn't treat it. Don't put it in the dryer either, the RE-tain system will get messed up.

A:
It's waterproof. I wore it in the rain for an entire day and the only thing that got wet was the bottom of my arms (from the water running down the sleaves).
I couldn't wear it the next day, however, because they recommend drip dry only and it didn't dry out after 1 night hanging.

The outside fabric will get soaked but the re-tain membrane will keep you warm and dry.

My son stood in the rain to find out if it is waterproof. It surely is as he would put it.

I am 6' and 200 and the L fits me very well. Go with the M. You don't need any extra room for layers. Jacket is very warm for its size.

I'd go with the medium if you don't intend to wear it with much clothing underneath. I am 5'11' and L fits me good with room to layer under it.

I got my 13 year old a medium and it fits loose. I'm 5'10" and the north side of 250 lb's. The jacket fits me snug but still zips and I can still move around in it.

Nope. No vents. Those would have been handy going through the switchgrass in S.D. worked up a sweat. Jacket was very warm in mid 30 deg temps, not many layers.

A:
It depends on how you want it to fit. If you are doing early or regular season bow hunting you probably want the smaller size for a less bulky "close to the body" type fit. If you are doing colder weather hunting you would probably take the larger size to accommodate more layers.
