well......it doesn't work with regular sized one person tree stands, I'd spend your money on building an umbrella out of something sturdier like 2x4's and rubber.

I attached my strap about 2 inches above the back rest of my treestand. I then attach the peak if the umbrella at about head level. If you attach the bottom first where I told you, then just stretch the peak to where it is snug and everything should fall into place.

I wouldn't since it would be susceptable to damage from wind.

I leave it up from late August till Feb. I just put it back up two months ago and have hunted out of it the last two weeks. Still great item. And no, I won't sell it. LOL

Nylon straps with rachet-straps and hooks on the bottom bracket which attach to the trunk and the peak is attached with just a nylon strap around the trunk and just a plastic clip. No problems. Durable parts and components.
