I think they're just abit expensive, but they ARE very good baits. Color choice depends on water clarity and the available forage base. To cover most situations, I'd go with both colors 01 and 18.

It runs shallow less than 2.5" and is small for a musky lure, maybe 5 or 6"

4 3/4" long, runs 2'-5' deep. Color choice depends on water clarity and the available forage fish in the body of water you're fishing... if yellow perch are the main baitfish, use a perch pattern; shad, smelt, golden shiner, same thing - "match the hatch" as the saying goes. Use more natural colors in clear water, brighter/flashier colors in dirtier water.
