its good for pickerel and it is even better for smallmouth bass than largemouth bass I think you should get 5/16 of an ounce and the color you shoud get is silverA:

Im pretty sure any Esox will hit this, including pickerel; smallmouth too. Don't think the panfish will like it, though. The regular x raps (XR 10 is a good size) are probably better for pike-like fish. Match the color to the natural forage. I like the silver or yellow for clear water and gold, perch, firetiger, or glass ghost for stained water.

I have never fished for pickerel, but I know smallmouth will hit this. I doubt any sun fish will hit this lure. If chain pickerel hit baits like this get it. The 2 1/2 inch size is usually good. I really like the purple gold color 62. I hope this helps.Answers

the largemouths here kill it, dont get discouraged if it dosnt produce in some areas sometimes only certain colors work in certain water conditions,color, temp ect.try different colors and locations.
