The only time I have ever needed to measure gloves was around the hand near the knuckles...

I would say anything over 40 degrees and you should be ok with these gloves. Anything below that you could potentially start to get cold. I hunted with just these gloves in the low 30's for about 4 hours and survived but my hands did get cold. Great to wear under convertible gloves where the top folds down if you know its going to be cold.

well i have been out in the woods and fields when it was around 15 degrees out and my hands where fine a little cold but still warm enough to feel them and work my hands and also never fealt any pain in my hands from the cold and they never went numb

I was out in 40 degree weather and they were fine until i got them damp from holding the rails on my climber. Froze after that. They are in no way water resistant.
