Either would be fine. I use 20 lb on my light tackle for saltwater reds and speckle trout.

I have used spiderwire many times and i have never had good success. I use power pro and have had nothing but great results. If you read the reviews you will see that many use Power Pro for salt water and spinning gear. I fish fresh water and use it on spinning and love it.I hope this helps

EZ braid. Or should I use the 20 pound EZ braid?

I have been using braided line for 4 years. I use 20 lb for redfish & speckled trout in FL. I have 61/2 & 7 ft poles with Shimano 2500 & 3500 reels.I do suggest that you use Stren Sonic Braid as it knots & tangles less then teh Spiderwire.

I use 20# on a 7' medium action rod for bass and it works great. It is more than adequate. I can not give any advice concerning Redfish

I'd probably go with the 20 pound. It casts much easier, and has ample strength to handle even big bull reds (if the drag is set correctly) and any speckled trout you may encounter.

I use 30 lb test even on my spinning 5 ft crappie pole, simply because i also use that pole for catfishing as well, along with my 7ft pole. Any pound test will cast pretty much the same, you will enjoy any of them.A:
braid on a baitcaster is not a good idea. Ive tried all of them as well. Spider wire is a great line but not on a baitcaster. If you want some good line to go on a baitcaster, i recommend p-line fluorocarbon. It is surprisingly incredibly strong for mono, and it casts very well. This is coming from someone who loves braid, its just not for a baitcasterA:
It all depends, if you are fishing weeds and structure I like to use 50lb test, but if Im fishing docks and open water I use 15lb test

If You Are Going To Pitch And Flip Near Heavy Cover Then I Would Go Even Heaveir. I Use 50 Or 60 Pound For That. If You Are Casting Only Then Go With 20 Pound But Put A Mono Or Floro Leader On It. If You Are Fishing For Trout I Wouldnt Even Use Braid.Details:
I bought a new 7ft Ugly stick rod and a Rhino spincast reel, placed the 50lb spider EZ Braid line and it seems like the line will not feed out more than about 20ft. Is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone have any suggestions?Answers

Spincast reels are kind of finicky with heaver lines. You may should try a lighter version of the EZ Braid.

I found that same problem with the 30 lb braid but if you just cast it hard in your backyard with a weight clipped on the a swivel it will eventually loosen up and cast well, then you will have the most amazing line.

Yes. I have been using braided line on a spinning reel for 4 years. I do sugesst that you use Stren Sonic braid as it tangles & knots less then the Spiderwire.A:
I have tried spidewire on many occasions falling for their advertising and have not had good results. I have always gotten bad wind knots with spiderwire on spinning gear. I use Power Pro and very seldom if ever have this problem. I do not and will not use spiderwire ever again

yes, you can only use this stuff on spinning reels. Do not try to use it on a baitcaster, it will not work. Its not designed for that

Not quite. It's still a braided line, but it's a much finer braid than the original, and is smooth to the touch, so it shoots through the eyes on your rod with less friction while casting. Just as strong though.

It is not replacing the stealth line, but i've found it's just as good, the line may fray a little but it lasts just as long and loses none of its strength
