This unit comes standard with a transom mount transducer. However, you can purchase the Humminbird® Trolling Motor Adapter, item 38-531-909-00, to use this unit on your trolling motor.

My humminbird will display water temp, depth just fine. Other boaters say they see fish on their finders but mine doesn't display the fish.

The transom mount transducer that comes standard on this unit really wouldn't be intended to be mounted on the bottom or sides of your inflatable fishing vessel. There are a couple of ways around this. One way is, if you power your craft by means of a trolling motor, you may look at getting a trolling motor mount for the transducer. Another option, although we do not currently carry it, is ordering a suction cup transducer from the manufacturer.

I have a 10' jon boat i keep in my backyard. I would love to get this for it, but could I take it off when im done using the boat and put it back on before I go fishing again? I would rather not leave it on the boat when im not using it. Also, where do I put it? I have a small trolling motor I can attach to the boat if that would be a place to mount the transducer. Thank you for any help available.

A:
Yes. All you do is unplug the power cords from the back of the unit and loosen the side screws and you're done. To put it back on just reverse the procedure.

A:
Yes, this can be installed in a Kayak. However, you might want to order the Kayak Mounting Hardware, which includes surface preparation products in addition to a transducer cradle and adhesive products. Model MHX XMK purchased through Humminbird.

Must be connected to a 12 volt power supply.

Staff Answer
A:
The transducer may be mounted to your trolling motor via a specialized bracket (Bass Pro item 38-550-841-00). You would not want to mount the actual display to your trolling motor as this may cause damage and could void the warranty of your trolling motor (as this is an invasive process). Many anglers will, instead, mount the unit to the bow deck for viewing while running their trolling motor.
