It's simply a grip for the back of the handle. It makes the Pistol feel bigger and makes it easier to hold without losing friction. It's not TOO useful, but it's nice to have for looks and feel :)

Details: 
I read someone's review saying that if you pull down the clip by the trigger, it releases the slide. So I tried it, and I was able to to pull down the clip, but the slide didn't release, so I tried to put the clip back. Problem is, I don't seem to be able to put it back, I'm afraid if i force it it'll break. So I'm wondering if there's a special way to put it back in place.

Please advise,

Push the thing above the left side of the trigger down, that should fix your problem if it doesnt then, like what the other guy said look inside and see wahts wrong

Spray paint works but, if ur painting your gun to look more like a fire arm, Dont reveal it in public because that might be breaking a law in your area, also leave the tip orange, put some masking tape or painters tape over the tip, thats what i did
