The Grand Passage does this by putting a Pre-Vent waterproof, windproof, breathable laminate over the SelectWeight insulation system. Add in a reversible zipper with internal and external storm flaps, a brushed tricot lining that is reversed in the arms, an internal waist drawcord, adjustable hook and loop neoprene cuffs, and you have the blueprint for a jacket that keeps you warm in the nastiest weather. This jacket does not sacrifice any functionality though. Articulated elbows, molded shoulder strips, two oversize spill-proof bellows pockets with magnetic closures, Pocket Expander System shell pockets, two Gear 'Triever System pockets (sold seperately), and two chest handwarmer pockets make this jacket as useful as it is warm.
