With Garmin’s U.S. Topo DVD and your PC, you can download detailed topographic maps to your compatible Garmin GPS. These maps are comparable to the U.S. Geographical Survey's 1:100,000-scale paper maps. You'll see terrain contour, elevation information, shoreline detail, bathymetric contours, hiking and snowmobile trails and more. You can also use MapSource to create routes and waypoints on your PC and transfer them to your GPS.

The 2008 update includes coverage for Puerto Rico, increased POI data base, DEMs(Data Elevation Models) allow for terrain shading on the PC, DEMs(Data Elevation Models) allow for the elevation profile of a route on select GPS units (60CSX for example) and on the PC, and is now DVD based vs CD-Rom.
