The California Transparency in Supply Chain Act

Bass Pro Shops requires its vendors that have a vendor contract with Bass Pro Shops to agree and certify that: (1) they and their subcontractors shall adhere to Bass Pro Shops' employment standards and comply with all laws prohibiting human trafficking and slavery; and (2) materials incorporated into the products the vendor supplies to Bass Pro Shops comply with all laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which they are doing business. For any vendor that does not have a vendor contract with Bass Pro Shops, Bass Pro Shops requests that such vendor certify that (1) they and their subcontractors shall adhere to Bass Pro Shops' employment standards and all comply with all laws prohibiting human trafficking and slavery; and (2) materials incorporated into the products the vendor supplies to Bass Pro Shops comply with all laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which they are doing business. Bass Pro Shops engages in verification of product supply chains to evaluate and address risks of human trafficking and slavery by using announced audits conducted by internal personnel and by independent auditors. These audits also evaluate vendor compliance with our standards for trafficking and slavery in supply chains.

Bass Pro Shops is in the process of implementing and maintaining accountability standards and procedures for any vendor who is determined to have failed these requirements, up to and including, refusing to do business with vendors who do not agree to conform to our standards regarding slavery and human trafficking. Bass Pro Shops associates directly responsible for supply chain management are required to complete vendor responsibility program training which includes awareness of human trafficking and slavery risks in the supply chain of products and ways to mitigate those risks.
