Boy Scout Merit Badge Classes!

Boy Scout Merit Badge Classes have returned to Bass Pro Shops! A summer staple, merit badge classes will take place throughout the month of September.

Founded in 1910, the Boy Scouts have nearly 3 million youth members and over 1 million adult volunteers. The BSA goal is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities and educational programs.

Through the merit badge program, Scouts learn about sports, crafts, science, trades, business, and future careers. There are over 130 different merit badge options. Bass Pro Shops will offer two merit badge classes: Fishing and Rifle Shooting. Scouts learn the fundamentals of fishing, if for no other reason than survival. In the Rifle Shooting class, scouts can develop their learning skills while learning safe practices.

All Scouts must call and register at Customer Service or come into the store to register. There are limited spaces available. The store number is 678.847.5500! We look forward to having you in!

Classes are scheduled as follows, at 6 p.m.:

Tuesday, September 1st Fishing

Thursday, September 3rd Rifle Shooting

Tuesday, September 8th Rifle Shooting

Thursday, September 10th Fishing

Tuesday, September 15th Fishing

Thursday, September 17th Rifle Shooting

Tuesday, September 22nd Rifle Shooting

Thursday, September 24th Fishing

fishClasses are administered by BSA-approved members of our Huntingrifle and Fishing Departments. There is a practical application component of each class, following the classroom session, where Scouts demonstrate their proficiency in the subject matter.
