  Association Louisiana Bass Club (A. L. B. C. )

  The Association of Louisiana Bass Clubs (A.L.B.C.) was formed in 1970. It is made up of six districts and has grown to around 2800 members.

  Each club  fishes throughout the year and the Best 6 fisherman and two alternates from each club are eligible to fish the Best 6 Tournament hosted by the A.L.B.C. The tournament is held at Toledo Bend during the first weekend of May.  The A.L.B.C has an Annual Boat Raffle for two boats: One is given to an individual that has purchased a raffle ticket and the other one is given to a participating bass club.

  In addition, they support local, younger communities, by requiring that each A.L.B.C. District hosts a Kids' Tournament in their area. Each year, there are a growing number of young participants.... last year, 1800 kids fished statewide.

  It is open to any organized bass club in the State of LA with a minimum of 12 members and a minimum age of 15.

  Bass Life Associates, Inc., a 501 C company, is a non-profit conservation organization located in Northwest Louisiana. Our mission statement, "Through support of youth fishing, lake stocking and trophy bass conservation, Bass Life Associates, Inc. is working to keep bass fishing a way of life for the future, and not just a part of our past". Bass Life Associates is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of a great, family friendly sport.

  Since 1993, Bass Life has participated in funding fish hatcheries, provided needed funds to youth fishing programs, helped fund needed equipment for Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents, and has helped fund numerous projects for the improvement of our local lakes. One of our most popular projects is the Replica Bass program, where anglers are provided, based on the size of the bass, assistance in funding a replica of their trophy bass. To date, we have raised and contributed more than one million dollars to local community projects.
