Bass Pro Shops/Outdoor World, Gurnee Illinois
The first thing you need to do as soon as you enter our lobby is pause and look around! You will see hand-painted murals from renowned artists depicting scenes from our forests, waterways, and local outdoor scenery that are all part of the great Illinois heritage. Wildlife mounts are displayed alongside local historical prints featuring early tourists and residents enjoying all types of sporting adventures. Giant exquisitely crafted outdoor themed chandeliers, made by Bass Pro Shops' own artisan’s, hang throughout the store and a relaxing lobby with a huge stone fireplace and furniture to sit in while you take it all in.

Departments
We are more than just a Fishing and Hunting store. Come to our store and see our other extensive departments like Camping, (that includes hiking, grilling and everything in between), our Gifts and Nature center (toys, hot sauces, wind chimes, music, etc.), Apparel and Footwear (with brand names like RedHead, Under Armour, Bob Timberlake and more), Marine (find electronics, boat accessories, GPS, etc.) Tracker Boats (Tahoe, Nitro, Tracker and Sun Tracker), Water sports (kayaks, rafts, snorkeling equipment, wake surfing boards and all other fun water toys). The best part is that each department will come with a skilled and knowledgeable associate that will guide you thru your every need.

Aquarium and Fish Feeding
We have three large water features on site, including our main aquarium, which is 38,000 gallons and it houses many different species of fish from Large Mouth Bass to monster sized Cat Fish!  Our local pros and store staff demonstrating some of our new products, techniques and much more throughout the year. Join us for our fish feeding FRENZY Saturdays at 1pm and Mondays at 6:00pm.

Arcade and Shooting Gallery
Our store carries different types of fun arcade games, but is our Uncle Bucks Cabin shooting gallery that takes the cake. Depicting a country cabin with wildlife and nature all around it, kids have fun shooting at the targets and seeing the interaction of all the items of this gallery.

3D – Archery Target Range
Come on down and enjoy our indoor archery range.  It features two levels with 5 lanes on each floor.  The range is outfitted with plenty of 3D targets at various distances, so you can get some practice in or site in for your next hunt.  We also have associates on site to give advice, assist with tuning, and help outfit your archery needs.  The range is open to the public and reservations are recommended.  We can also accommodate booking the range for group functions.  Call the store for details.

Shooting Range and Rifle Tube
Want to try out that new pistol or rifle you just purchased from Bass Pro?  We have a 5 lane, 25 yard, pistol range that features an automatic target system.  We also have an indoor, single rifle tube that is 25 yards in length which is perfect for sighting in that new scope or getting ready for your next hunt.  The pistol range accommodates ammo calibers from a .22 up to a .44 mag. and the rifle tube accommodates from a .22 caliber up to 375 H&H.  Our Hunting department offers a variety of firearms, safety equipment, ammo, and targets that can be used in the range.  The range is open 7 days a week, walk-ins and reservations are welcome.

Fudge and Nut Cart
Make sure to stop at our Fudge and Nut Cart on Saturday and Sundays to get your fresh made fudge and cinnamon glazed nuts. If you don't know where it is no need to ask someone just close your eyes and follow the intoxicating aroma.

That’s right; you can bring your group or organization in for some unique history behind Bass Pro, and even get a FREE tour of the store! It’s fun and educational! Special Events
Throughout the year we do a Spring Fishing Classic, Fall Hunting Classic and a Go Outdoors event. In addition we have numerous other seasonal events like Free Boat Shows, Easter Events, Family Summer Camp, Labor Event Family Fun Weekend, Professional Bull Riders Event, Halloween Bass Pro style, Santa's Wonderland and more! Workshops, Special Courses and Store Only Events
Bass Pro Shops is dedicated to informing the public about conservation. We are continuously educating the youth of tomorrows generation. Every Saturday at 2pm Bass Pro offers free fishing workshops with our staff. These are for children, adults, and anyone who wishes to attend. No reservations needed! Every week is a different topic, so you are always learning something new! Feel free to bring in your lure, rod, or reel for free demonstrations on how to properly use them!

Military Discount Days!
