1 lb. cubed venison (preferably a roast)
1 medium white onion (chopped)
3 cups of button mushrooms
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tsp fresh crushed garlic
2 cups of flour
1/2 cup of white wine
Take cubed venison and roll in flour
Pan fry until brown on the outside (don't worry about the inside yet)
Mix browned venison with all other ingredients except for the wine along with 1 cup of water into a crockpot (you can do this in a kettle if you wanna sit there and watch it for 2 hours).
Cook for 2 hours on high, checking every 30 minutes that it isn't too dry.
Add 1/4 cup of water and stir as necessary.
When you have 45 minutes left add the wine and stir it in.
Best served over spaezle (German dumplings)
All ingredients can be increased or decreased for taste and consistency value. Let me know what you think.
