2-4 catfish fillets (or other firm fish)
1/4 cup Zesty italian salad dressing
1 cup italian seasoned bread crumbs
1-1/2 tsp. garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
roll fillets in the italian dressing and place in refridgerator or ice box and let sit for at least 10 minutes. Meanwhile, mix all dry ingrediants and pre heat your favority fry pan of deep fryer.
roll fillets in bread mixture and fry until dark golden brown and enjoy. comes out crispy and delicious, can also be used for chicken, etc.
a great all purpose frying base if batter mixes seem too bland for your taste.
( You may also try a 1/2 tsp Old Bay, or 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper too in the mix)
