Take a Kid Hunting
Larry Whiteley
If someone isn't there to teach and encourage, kids simply won't hunt.
Larry Whiteley

The latest statistics show that hunting participation is declining and we, as hunters, are partly to blame. The problem is that most of us don't take the time to introduce a kid to the great sport of hunting. It is an excellent activity that teaches kids about nature and the environment.

We should also be aware of what our children are being taught in school about hunting. It's anti-hunting we need to know about it.

Kids need to hear about hunting in an open, positive way. Then, armed with the viewpoints of both sides, not just one, they can choose for themselves whether they will hunt or not.

Hunting isn't something kids learn about from a book. If someone isn't there to teach and encourage, they simply won't hunt. Taking a kid hunting is the only way the sport can continue.
