The more vertical pixels on your sonar's screen, the easier it is to show enhanced structure detail and fish arches.
The higher the transmit power or WATTS, the greater the probability of showing echo returns in deep water or poor water conditions.
A sonar unit can help indicate the composition on the bottom. For example, a hard bottom returns a very strong signal, causing a wide whiteline. A soft, muddy, or weedy bottom returns a weaker signal, shown with a narrow whiteline. |
