Try these jig-and-plastic tips. |

Jigs-and-plastic account for more walleyes than all other artificials combined. Yet they can be even more effective with a little extra attention to detail:
- Rig curlytails tail-down when tipping with live bait, tail-up otherwise.
- More hook gap, more hookups. Always "skinhook" your plastics to maximize the gap.
- Try adding a bright red plastic bead ahead of the jighead; it may trigger an "instinct" bite or two.
- Use 2 tails for a beefier profile -- 1 standard rig plus 1 nose-hooked rig.
