Year-after-year, anglers flock 800 miles south of the U.S. border in search of monster bass - pure Florida-strain bass. 

 

Lake El Salto is a scenic impoundment located on the foot hills of the Sierra Madre Mountains, and was built on the Elota River and spans approximately 24,000.00 acres.


In 1986 the lake was stocked with Florida largemouth bass, and because of the warm temperature of the water, these bass have grown very large and very aggressive.  It is not unusual for fisherman to catch 80+ bass in one day -- a lot of which are at least 4 pounds!  It is the single-most sought-after destination for bass anglers because of the high probability of catching the bass of their lifetime!
