It’s that time again for our annual Go Outdoors Event & Sale, which is filled with FREE activities for family members of all ages. This year the event will be held from May 17 to the 27^th.

The first weekend kicks off with some great FREE seminars and chances to win a GPS unit or a life jacket. Here is the schedule for the workshops, times are the same for both Saturday the 18^th and Sunday the 19^th:

11:30am & 3:30pm – Wear it Right: selecting and properly using the right life jacket for you. Attendees of these workshops will be entered to win a FREE life jacket to be drawn on Sunday at 5:00pm

12:30pm, 2:30pm & 4:30pm – Priorities of Survival – Survival Awareness & Preparedness

1:30pm & 4:00pm – Geocaching 101 – basics of Geocaching; attendees of these workshops will be entered to win a FREE Geomate JR. GPS unit to be drawn at 5pm on Sunday

From noon to 5:00pm on the 18^th and 19^th we will be teaching you how to smoke some delicious food including free samples of the finished product

We will also be holding an Oakley/Go-Pro Sweepstakes where you have a chance to enter to win a free trip for you and one guest to the U.S. Open Surf Championships in Huntington Beach, CA. Trip includes 3days/3night hotel accommodations and rental car; a retail value of $7,000. In conjunction with this sweepstakes, one of our customers will win a pair of Oakley Flak Jacket Sunglasses and a GoPro HERO3 Camera in our drawing to be held at the end of the event.

On Saturday May 18^th you are going to want to get here early because we will be giving away a Bounty Hunter Metal Detector at 10:30am !!! Our doors open at 9:00am so get here early for a chance to win.

The second weekend of the event is our Kid’s Activities Weekend, May 25^th and 26^th. From 11am to 4pm we will be hosting the following kid’s activities:

Daisy BB Gun Shooting Range – test your skills in our brand new inflatable shooting range !!

Metal Detector Treasure Hunt – use a metal detector to find zinc arrowheads that you can keep !!!

Scavenger Hunt – find all of the items hidden throughout the store and win a prize !!

Free Photo Downloads – get a free picture certificate of you in an outdoor scene !!!

We will also have kid’s seminars:

11:00am & 2:00pm – Safe Passage – kid’s survival skills

1:30pm & 3:30pm – Kids Geocaching – learn geocaching from the experts

From Noon to 4:00pm Saturday and Sunday we will also have a FREE craft: Color a BPS logo Water Bottle

We will be hosting a Concealed Carry Class on June 22nd and 23rd. This class will be conducted by NRA Certified Instructors. The class times are:

Saturday June 22nd: 9:30 - 7:30 - Classroom instruction in our conference room
Sunday June 23rd:  9:00am to 12:00 pm - Qualification shooting at a local private range

You do not have to have your own handgun to qualify, loaners will be available, but you will be required to supply your own ammunition. Cost of the class is $110. Please call 513-826-5200 to register and if you have any questions. Class size is limited.

Spring is the time wild animals teach their children to live in the outdoors. Follow their example and take your family on a weekend campout that they will not forget. On Wednesday May 29th, Doug Baker of our Cincinnati Bass Pro Shops Camping Team will be here to teach you a FREE workshop on camping basics, including information on local campgrounds that offer affordable fun for the whole family. This workshop will be held in the Camping Department and will begin at 7pm.
