Spring is finally here, and we are ready to get outdoors! Swing by Bass Pro Shops and help us kick off this great weather with the "Go Outdoors" event May 17-27! Sit in on great seminars like "Priorities of Survival," "Geocaching 101," and many more! Taste some of our yummy treats with the food demos, and even enter for a chance to win cool prizes like a new pair of Oakleys or a GoPro! Want more?! How about a giant sized Daisy Shooting Range?! Search through the sand in a metal detector treasure hunt, and hunt for logos in a scavenger hunt! Before you leave be sure to get your photo taken, and make some neat crafts! It's all happening at Bass Pro Shops in Gurnee!

2013 Hunter Safety Education Class
2013 Hunter Safety Education Class Schedule
Bass Pro Shops will be hosting Illinois Department of Natural Resources Hunter Safety Classes. Anyone born on or after January 1st 1980 must show proof of taking the hunter safety education class to obtain a hunting license. Class size is limited to 50 students. Classes are held on Saturday and Sunday 8am-5pm. You must attend both class sessions to receive credit for this course. Students age 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.
Registration will begin May 20, 2013 at 9am

Hey families! Looking for something fun to do this summer?! Check out Bass Pro Shops Family Summer Camp going on June 8th-July 14th on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays! What is Family Summer Camp? Bass Pro Shops provides great activities throughout the store for kids to enjoy, all for FREE! Sit in on need to know workshops and seminars, make cool crafts, test your skills with the shooting arcade, practice your aim with casting buckets, and even get a 4X6 photo taken while you are in the store! Cool down from the heat by sampling our homemade ice cream and fudge! Enter to win a TOYOTA TUNDRA while you are here! The Father's Day Sweeps is the perfect chance to enter dad into a great drawing!

Hey anglers! Join us every Saturday for FREE fishing classes with our experienced staff! Whether you are experienced, intermediate, or just getting into the sport of fishing...we have something for you! Every Saturday is a different topic. So what do you need to do?! Simply come in and head over to the hog trough. It's free, and you are free to bring anyone. We will demo anything you want to see, and help you get the most out of fishing! So grab the family and head over!

Hey anglers! Interested in fly fishing? Come check out our fly tying classes being offered every Thursday night at Bass Pro Shops starting at 6pm! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced, there is always something new to learn! We can help you learn new techniques or help you improve so that you are getting the best out of your equipment. Here are the next few seminars:

May 16th "Tube Techniques"
May 23rd "Winged Ants"
May 30th "Crawdads"
June 6th "Stone Flies"
June 13th "Grasshoppers"

**There will be no fly tying class on May 2nd**
So how do you join? Just call ahead and ask for the fly shop. Let them know you are interestred in a Thursday night class, how many people you are bringing, and they will take care of the rest! Best of all, it's FREE! All ages are welcome. Although it is not required, you may bring your own equipment if you prefer.
