5ft Snake Vs. 1.5 pound catfish. Battle lasted about 5 minutes before it ended in a draw.

Well, i caught a copper head at Lake West Point last summer with a little cat fish in its mouth swimming around but i caught a snake and did not mean to the hook went between the boards on a floating dock and hooked the snake hiding under it i about freaked good think it broke my four pound test line on the metal.

very nice picture.my son and i had the same thing hapen. we were bass fishing,my son had a pound and half bass on,there was a 4foot water snake trying to eat it.we played around with that snake for about ten minutes.its a very cool thing to see.

my dad and me saw a red sqirl bightin the hell out of a black snake that was all around it and that sqirl killed it

For us poorboys we can relate, If you dont have a live well and you run a stringer over the side of the boat. Pull up on shore and go grab some lunch, In the right waters, Some cottonmouths will have already made lunch of your catch. nice pic.

Great pic, but thats not a cottonmouth. Its a nonvenomous watersnake. The common name is banded watersnake. I have seen these snakes here in georgia with small catfish in their mouths.
